Is the OpenClaw Windows installer free?
The beta installer on this page is offered as a free
download. Model usage may still create charges through
the AI provider connected with your own API key.
Is this the official OpenClaw website?
No. This is an independent resource platform providing
installation guidance, model information, Skills and
workflow resources.
Why might Windows show a warning?
The previously analysed beta installer did not contain
a valid Authenticode signature. Windows may therefore
show a SmartScreen or unknown publisher warning. Verify
the checksum and review the source before proceeding.
Do I need an API key?
You normally need an API key from a supported AI provider
before OpenClaw can send model requests. The key must be
obtained from the provider account you choose.
Does downloading OpenClaw include free model credits?
No. The first version of this platform follows a
bring-your-own-key model and does not include platform
model credits.
Can I use more than one AI provider?
The planned account dashboard allows users to add
multiple supported provider records and choose different
models for different tasks.
Is there a macOS download?
The downloadable installer on this page is currently for
Windows x64. macOS installation instructions are provided
on a separate guide page.
Where should I report an installation problem?
